The Directors

Dr Olinga Ta'eed - Chief Executive

Olinga founded the business in 1996 (incorporated in 1998). He has extensive senior management experience in telecommunications and IT companies. Olinga was CEO of Molynx Ltd, which grew under his leadership, becoming one of Europe’s leading CCTV manufacturers. Following this, he was CEO at HyperCAST, a company providing a 24 hour teletext service with information on sports, news and business contributed by in-house journalists to CNN International and Cartoon Network, both subsidiaries of Turner Broadcast. HyperCAST also broadcast live forex rates for Reuters internationally.

He subsequently took the position of CEO at Zyris Plc, a substantial international Internet server software start-up company. Olinga is currently non-executive Chairman of T@lecom Ltd. Olinga has a PhD from Leeds University and has published around 70 papers.

Simon Cohen - Business Development Director

Simon is an experienced business developer and project manager who was part of the team at Toyota's Japanese headquarters which coordinated the company's UK manufacturing project in the early 1990s. On his return to London in 1994, Simon joined the UK subsidiary of Mitsui & Co. Ltd where he managed two joint ventures between Mitsui and UK based businesses. He joined Pedagog in 1999 when he was appointed Head of Business Development. Simon is responsible for commercial support to licensees and content management.

Bruce MacFarlane - Technical Director

Bruce began his career in academia, conducting research in computer science, but moved to industry in 1992, where he applied his expertise in neural network technology to the development of a European award-winning video security system. He moved on to work in the data broadcasting and financial services sectors, developing solutions for the maintenance of data integrity in narrow-band lossy network environments. A co-founder of Pedagog Trading, he has since led its R&D team in leveraging its combined expertise in telecoms and video surveillance to create a range of innovative security products.

Bruce holds a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. In 1991 he obtained an MSc in Parallel Computing Systems from the University of the West of England, where he gained experience in developing neural network applications. For the past 9 years he has worked as a software developer in industry, developing international award-winning products for the security and retail sectors.

Dr Richard Leaver - Non-Executive Director

Richard is the Chief Executive and co-founder of the PegasusBridge group of companies including PegasusBridge Fund Management Limited, a Guernsey fund manager specialising in Homeland Security based investments, its UK investment adviser PegasusBridge Fund Management LLP and The PegasusBridge Defence & Security Fund Limited.

Richard has a degree in Applied Physics from Durham University and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence together with an MBA. He has worked as a fund manager since 2001, making investments from over four funds ranging from areas as diverse as nanotechology, to ultra low power semiconductors, biometrics and vision systems. Prior to this, he worked extensively in international business consulting and development in Cambridge following 11 years with BAE Systems.

Paul Rogerson - Chief Operating Officer

Paul has had a distinguished career in telecoms. Previously VP of Marketing, Planning and Communications at Marconi Communications he has also been the Marketing Director at Fujitsu Telecommunications Europe, and Business Manager at Fulcrum. He started his career at the BT Research labs researching radio systems, undersea optical fibre systems and AVL systems.
